Why I first ran for trustee and what are my hopes and vision for the community: There are many reasons on why I ran for Trustee. First and foremost, I believe Winthrop Harbor is an amazing place to live and raise a family. To preserve that, I wanted to do everything in my power to not just keep it that way, but to develop and enhance our village. I spent a great deal of time speaking with residents listening to their thoughts, ideas and viewpoints on what direction they want to see our village moving, and I wanted to be a voice for them. My goal is to keep Winthrop Harbor the type of community that our residents are proud of, keeping taxes down, keep costs down, provide higher quality of services all while keeping our property values strong. I believe this can be achieved with a stronger business presence, more utilization from our lake front and the responsible allocation of the funds that we have to work with through property taxes as well as alternative funding sources. I want big ideas to keep Winthrop Harbor small.
