The Winthrop Harbor Economic Development Commission (EDC) is an advisory panel comprised of citizen volunteers who are dedicated to the economic well being of our Village.
The express purpose of the Economic Development Commission is to foster the economic development of Winthrop Harbor in order to improve the quality of life and overall economic welfare of all its citizens. Its function is primarily advisory in nature, reporting to the Mayor and Winthrop Harbor Board of Trustees.
It is the objective of the Economic Development Commission to promote the development, establishment and expansion of commercial, industrial and professional enterprises in Winthrop Harbor and thereby increasing the value of the non-residential tax base of the Village.
The Winthrop Harbor Economic Development Commission will hold their regular meetings at 6:30PM at the Municipal Building, 830 Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor, IL on the SECOND THURSDAY of each month during the 2025 year as follows:
