The Village of Winthrop Harbor will host its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, 2023 in honor of the fallen men and women of our United States military. This annual event is organized together with the Winthrop Harbor Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post.
We invite you to participate in this year’s parade with your float, band, marching group or other entry. The general theme of all parade entries should be to honor those who have paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedom. There is no-charge to participate in the parade. The parade line-up will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Outdoorsman parking lot on 3rd Street and Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m., proceeding south on Sheridan Road to 9th Street, then west on 9th Street to Village Park. At the park there will be a Memorial service presented by the Winthrop Harbor VFW at 12:00 Noon.
Pre-registration is required for all participating groups. Registration is quick and easy by filling out the form below. Alternatively, you may register by mail, or in-person using the form below. The registration deadline is midnight on May 23, 2022. All registrants will receive an email with their parade line-up number prior to the parade. Entrants who have not pre-registered will be allowed to participate, however their line-up positions will be behind all participants who pre-registered.
